The apartment was recently carefully
renovated by its owners using traditional
skills and local craftsman. It is formed
from
the bases of three mediaeval towers whose
upper stories were demolished in the
Renaissance by order of the Pope. It has
one
Roman room, one room dating from the
eleven
hundreds, a thirteenth century dining hall
and a series of fifteenth century rooms.
It
is a beautiful three bedroom, three
bathroom
apartment, sleeping 5/6, within the Roman
walls of the mediaeval city of Todi. It
has a
lovely private courtyard with Travertine
marble floor that leads on to a charming
walled garden, full of English roses,
wisteria and lavender.

The house is within the Roman walls of
Todi,
five minutes walk from the famous and
beautiful central square, said to be 'the
most beautiful square in Italy' and so
often
used in films. Todi is one of the few,
'quiet
cities with slow food' (food cooked
individually after you order from fresh
local
ingredients).

The town is a founder member of the Slow
Food
Movement. Excellent and relatively
inexpensive restaurants, acknowledged as
some
of the best in the region are within five
minutes walk from the front door, so you
can
drink wine with dinner and walk the short
distance home. From the front windows of
the
house you look out over the ancient walls
to
glorious views over the Naia Valley.
