MANAGEMENT AND SERVICE PERSONEL: are on site normally from the hours of 9:00am to 4:00pm. In the event of an emergency or other issue, please call 829-586-8645, 800-844-4156, 1-702-258-7376

CHECK OUT: Check out time is 11:00AM on your DATE OF DEPARTURE. THERE IS AN EXTRA CHARGE FOR LATE CHECK OUT AND PRIOR APPROVAL IS REQUIRED. Please leave all keys, remote controls, and parking keys with the management. A $50 hour fee will be charged for each hour (or portion thereof) past the required check out time. A $50 per item fee will be charged for each lost key

CLEANING: Each property will be inspected, sanitized and cleaned after your departure. The rental deposit fee you have paid will provide for four hours of normal cleaning so that you can enjoy your vacation up to the last moment. YOU ARE REQUIRED to leave the property in the same general condition that you received it by making sure, dishes have been readied for washing, and the apartment is generally picked up and ready to be cleaned, dusted and sanitized. If additional cleaning is required, appropriate charges will be deducted from your security deposit at the rate of $25 per hour.

TELEPHONES: Telephones are NOT provided; if during office hours and Management is present telephones may be used to make as many local calls as you wish, BUT please keep in mind local calls do cost Perla de Sosua a per minute charge

SMOKING: Smoking is permitted. HOWEVER, an additional deduction from the deposit will be charged for cleaning in the event of smoking and any damages caused by smoking.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING: You must bring with you such items as bath soap, shampoo, and all personal toiletries.

WHAT WE SUPPLY: The property is equipped and set up as a fully furnished property that will provide linens, pillows, towels, as well as a limited equipped kitchen, TVs, A/C in bedrooms, furnishings, and outdoor furniture. Additionally Perla de Sosua will provide at no additional charge, an initial BASKET of supplies (toilet paper, dishwashing soap, personal soap) and towels, with the exception of towels and linen changes, after this initial supply is used you must re-stock from the local supermarket or other sources of supplies as desired. Keep in mind your apartment is cleaned and ONLY re-supplied with towels and linen changes every 3rd day (2 nights). Maid does have keys and authority to enter the unit to service the apartment AT ANY TIME! WE MAY NOT HAVE ALL THE ITEMS YOU MAY BE ACCUSTOMED TO HAVING AT YOUR OWN HOME. If there is a special type of item you are accustomed to using such as special types of cooking utensil, etc. please provide for those items yourself. THERE WILL BE EXTRA CHARGES DEDUCTED FROM YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT FOR REPLACING ITEMS MISSING.
TENANTS LIABILITY: Tenant agrees to accept liability for any damages caused to the property (other than normal wear and tear) by Tenant or Tenants guests, including, but not limited to, landscaping, misuse of appliances, and/or equipment furnished. If damages are in excess of the security deposit being held, Tenant agrees to reimburse Perla de Sosua for costs incurred to repair/replace.

SLEEPING CAPACITY/DISTURBANCES: Tenants and all other occupants will be required to vacate the premises and forfeit the rental fee and security deposit for any of the following: A. Occupancy exceeding the sleeping capacity stated on the reservation confirmation. B. Using the premises for any illegal activity including, but not limited to, the possession, serving or consumption of alcoholic beverages by or to persons less than 21 years of age. C. Causing damages to the premises rented or to any of the neighboring properties. D. Any other acts which interferes with neighbors' right to quiet enjoyment of their property. Any complaints from neighbors regarding excessive noise or other nuisances that may be cause for immediate termination of the lease and forfeiture of the tenant's entire security deposit plus additional fees. The sosua area and its history includes the United Fruit Company (Bananas) and beach playground of the local Dominican middle class from Puerto Plata, Santigao and beyong. However, the modern history of Sosua begins in 1938 when the Dominican government accorded visas to Jewish refugees fleeing Nazi persecution. In 1939, the newly founded Dominican Republic Settlement Association (DORSA) acquired the land held by the United Fruit Company in the north of the country and in 1940 the first refugees arrived and settled on that land, followed by many others in the next few years. After 1945 many left the island for the United States, Mexico or Europe but some remained and prospered. Modern day Sosua is a quaint little town steeped in history and a mixture of different cultures whose roots are still evident in the Jewish community which includes members of the original refugee families, a synagogue and museum.

Sosua is the Acapulco of the Dominican Republic. You could say that this is where tourism first began back in the 70s and 80s. Despite development, Sosua still keeps its charm with the highest density of shops and restaurants in the Batey section of the destination. Foreigners who originally came for a beach holiday have now established their own ex-patriot communities and businesses. There are large numbers of Germans, Austrians, Canadians, Russians and Americans who live here year round.

The one kilometer long Sosua Beach continues to be the main attraction of the area. In spite of the large number of vendors who have set up shop right on the beach, it's still one of the most spectacular in the Dominican Republic. Sosua was originally settled by around 600 Jewish refugees fleeing the Second World War who set up a dairy community. As a result, Sosua began to thrive and was soon discovered by the wealthy from nearby Puerto Plata, Santiago and San Francisco de Macoris who came and set up vacation homes. Most of the original Jewish settlers have moved on, but the dairy that produces the Productos Sosua continues to this day. The Sosua Synagogue has a museum with photos and memorabilia of the first Jewish settlers. You can also attend services there. Tourism took off in the 70s and 80s, with the sleepy beach town catering to thousands of day trippers from Playa Dorada resort and to overnighters staying in the many small hotels such as Perla de Sosua that sprang up in Sosua. The town built a reputation for its night life. It is said that Sosua wakes up when Puerto Plata and Playa Dorada go to bed.

There are several possibilities to play Golf at the north coast. A well-kept 18-hole Golf course is available in the Playa Dorada ( approx. 20 minutes distance from the hotel ). Besides there is 9-hole Golf course in the Costa Azul, nearby Cabarete ( approx. 10 minutes from the hotel ).

A popular offer also are the high-sea-fishing tours. There are corresponding offers on the beach of Sosua. You're allowed to prepare the caught fish immediately after the tour on the beach.

In the city of Sosua there are a number of fitness-studios
